Scholarships to Israeli students

The French-speaking Community of Belgium, Wallonia-Brussels grants 3 scholarships in 2023 to Israeli students who wish to follow a summer course in French. 

The summer courses are intended for students who are studying for their BA-MA  and who already have good knowledge of the French language. 

Below you will find information on the various types of scholarships, the required conditions and the applications procedure. You will find the application forms in the chapter: Applications procedure.

The Flemish Community will not grant scholarships for the coming academic year 2023-2024, and until further notice. Please check that you have applied for a program/university that belongs to the French Community of Belgium.

The deadline for sending application files is 05 March 2023.

Types of Scholarships

  • 3 summer scholarships (3 weeks) are granted to students who have successfully finished at least two years of study in a higher education institute and who wish to attend French language courses in Belgium during the summer holidays 2023. There are two types of summer scholarships: 
     
    • 1 summer scholarship for future teachers of French as a foreign language. The courses are given at the Université Catholique de Louvain la Neuve. Date of the course: will be published very soon (last year 25/07/2022 – 12/08/2022)
    • 2 summer scholarships for students who wish to improve their level of French. The courses are given at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Date of the course: will be published very soon (last year 15/07/2022 – 05/08/2022) 

Tuitition and allowances

The summer scholarship comprises tuition fees.

Applications procedure

Candidates must submit their application forms via email (see address here above)

1. Application procedure for  short summer scholarship (three weeks program)

B. The following documents must be attached to the application form:

  • A letter of motivation (1 page maximum)
  • A Curriculum Vitae
  • A document (in English) proving the grades obtained during the candidate's studies
  • At least one letter of recommendation (in English or French) by university teachers who have known the student during his/her studies.
  • A good sacnned copy of identity photos, precise address, telephone numbers including cellular phone number and email.
