Vacancy for a Multidisciplinary residential helper

Job description: the employee will be primarily responsible for the cleanliness of the residence of the embassy and its surroundings. As the person responsible for the general management of the household, (s)he will receive instructions which may vary from day to day. The employee will adapt to the expectations and the time allocated for his/her work.

Requirements:

  • Be administratively permitted to perform paid work in Israel.
  • Relevant work experience.
  • Very good cleaning skills.
  • Preparing light family meals.
  • Good knowledge of household tasks, such as maintenance of appliances, disposal of waste, care and storage of household linen and clothing, ironing, grocery shopping, maintenance of floors, furniture and specific objects, and plant care.
  • Minor repair skills.
  • Good oral knowledge of Dutch, English or French.
  • Being pro-active and able to work independently.
  • Discretion and loyalty.
  • Flexibility.

Will be considered as an asset during the selection procedure:

  • Relevant training.
  • Additional relevant linguistic knowledge.
  • Skills for the organisation of representation activities.

Contract: employment contract for a renewable duration of one year.

Working hours: 37.5 h/week to be agreed with the family living at the residence.

Selection procedure:

  • First phase: analysis and selection of the applications.
  • Second phase: interview of the selected candidates.

Estimated start date: 1 January 2025.
